Garage Door FAQ

• Clean the door surface with clean water and a sponge or cloth. Use a mild soap or detergent (pH value of 7) only if necessary.
• Clean your door windows with care. Always use a soft cloth with a mild non-abrasive detergent to prevent scratches.

1. Wash and scrub the surface with a sponge or non-abrasive brush until clean, using a solution consisting of the following proportions:
   • 3 quarts water
   • 1/3 cup powdered type laundry detergent (do not use liquid soap)
   • 2/3 cup tri-sodium phosphate (optional where available)
   • If mildew is present, add 1 quart sodium hypochlorite (5% solution, bleach)
2. Rinse door surface well with water and allow it to dry.
3. Any loose or blistered areas must be feather edged and primed prior to repainting.
4. Repaint according to the paint manufacturer's instructions, with any good quality latex type exterior metal building paint only. Do not use interior, automotive, or other hot solvent type paints. Avoid dark colors; otherwise, sections might heat up in the sun causing panel distortion impairing the function of the door.

1. Locate the "smart" or "learn" button and LED under the light cover or at the back of your operator.
2. Press and release the "smart" or "learn" button located on the motor head of the unit. The indicator LED will begin to flash.
3. Within 30 seconds, press and release a button on your remote control. The indicator light will glow steady.
4. Press and release the same button again. The indicator light will go out.
5. Repeat steps 2-4 with additional remotes.

Note: When you press and hold the "smart" or "learn" button, you are clearing out all codes. No remote controls or keyless entry systems will work after holding (clearing) the "smart" or "learn" button. Holding the "smart" or "learn" button will not set your remote or keyless, it will only clear out all codes.
